Inauguration of the National Network for Women Leaders (Alia) 2022 The National Network for Women Leaders, known as Alia, is dedicated to bolstering the capacities of elected women and leaders across different governorates, fostering their active engagement in politics.

This network strives to empower women and elected leaders in diverse governorates by providing training, facilitating knowledge exchange, and reviewing legislation to amplify their political involvement. The training sessions on Local Administration Law, Political Parties Law, and Elections Law commenced in 2022, to prepare participants for the parliamentary elections in 2024. The project also seeks to heighten awareness of gender-related issues, promote gender-sensitive budgeting, and empower politically astute women to assume leadership roles. Currently consisting of 30 women from various governorates, the network has plans for expansion in the near future.
