‎The American Middle East and North Africa Partnership Initiative in Jordan

The Al Karak Consultancy and Training Center implemented this project in collaboration with the Arab American Institute Foundation (AAIF) and with the support of the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). The team consists of mayors and members of municipal councils from seven governorates, including His Excellency the Mayor of Greater Karak, Engineer Mohammed Al-Maaytah, His Excellency the Mayor of Al-Hashimiyya, Mr. Abdulrahim Al-Qalab, His Excellency the Mayor of Husseiniya in Ma'an, Mr. Suleiman Al-Jazi, Her Excellency the Deputy Mayor of Madaba, Ms. Basma Salaytah, Ms. Reem Al-Rawashdeh, a member of the Aqaba Governorate Council, Ms. Rola Bataineh, a member of the Irbid Governorate Council, and Mr. Issa Al-Rabadi, a member of the Ajloun Governorate Council. They were accompanied by the Foundation and the Executive Director of the Al Karak Consultancy and Training Center, Lawyer Isra'a Al-Mahadineh.


The objective of the Partnership Program for the selected delegation is to exchange experiences with elected officials. It aims to provide intensive training in good governance, attract and develop partnerships between the public and private sectors, and finance and develop small political projects to benefit their local communities.
