Advocacy Campaign to Enhance Women Political Participation and Increase their Representation to 30% Quota in Local Elections

Regarding the low percentage of women representation in the local councils and local administration law, and building upon previous projects of political participation of women, KCC in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung has started this project to enhance and raise women representation in local elections to 30% instead of 25%. KCC has established a pact of 30 institutions of civil society from across the kingdom to advocate women's participation. Moreover, the center has published a position paper in this regard.


In addition, Karak Castle Center has conducted a series of dialogue sessions with various personalities and institutions concerned and interested in the issue of political life in Jordan Including, The Ministry of Local Administration, civil society institutions, parliament, international organizations, political parties, and others.
