
Enhancing Digital Safety and Combating Digital Violence Against Women in Karak Governorate-2024
"Enhancing Digital Safety to Combat Violence Against Women in Karak Governorate", implemented by Karak Castle Center for Consultation and Training in collaboration with SecDev Foundation (Canada) and supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) – Canada aims to build the capacity of local communities to confront digital violence against women through a holistic approach that integrates legal empowerment, technical training, and psychological support.
The project has focused on raising awareness and promoting advocacy by training judges, lawyers, women leaders, and local council members.
It also monitored digital threats targeting female candidates during elections.
Additionally, the project successfully monitored online violence against parliamentary candidates, built the capacities of over 100 trainees in digital safety skills, developed policy papers and reports, and implemented advocacy initiatives and support campaigns related to digital safety, including a public awareness media campaign.
