Equality Through Self-Defense for Girls Project
The project targeted 300 girls between the ages of 14 and 18, who are students in schools across the Karak governorate.
The main aim was to promote gender equality in the field of self-defense martial arts. Training women in self-defense techniques is crucial as it provides them with a means to protect themselves when they lack other means of defense. Self-defense arts empower women, instilling bravery, self-defense skills, and quick reactions. This, in turn, enhances self-confidence, stimulates the mind, improves mental clarity, and increases attentiveness and focus. The project was implemented in collaboration with the organization Onside.
