Karak Elected Women’s Network

Karak Castle Center for Consultations and Training, in cooperation with the Swiss Embassy in Amman, implemented “Karak Elected Women’s Network” project. The project aims to establish a network of elected women (local councils - municipalities - governorates) in Al-Karak governorate.

This network would prepare and institutionalize an internal system for the elected women in the governorate to use in order to form a unified approach and to exchange experiences.

It also aimed to promote the political participation of women and help provide a clearer picture of issues related to women. The network was provided with training on lobbying skills, recruitment, and identification of needs.

This will help to create a comprehensive needs assessment that can be used by any entity intending to work with women and on women’s issues.

The following report shows the coverage of the project by the Jordan Today TV channel.
